As you are all aware, we lost a great man in April 2005. JD had battled a severe medical condition for more than 3 years. He had overcome so much in his life and we were certain that he could overcome this, but unfortunately it just wasn’t meant to be. I am full of great memories of how, when and why this great website was created. JD was quite the mastermind behind the creation of this wonderful community. I spent every moment I could with my beloved. From the day we met, until the day he died. I stood by him through thick and thru thin, in his healthy days as well as in his sickness.

About 2 years ago, I RETIRED <giggle giggle> I dedicated my life to taking care of my husband. I spent my time caring for JD, taking care of our house, the kids, and everything that JD no longer could. Unfortunately during this time the WETLANDS didn’t receive much personal attention from JD or me. I am sorry for that, but at that point in time we both had another priority.

I am still devastated at the loss of my soul-mate. I also realize that I need to put focus back on the WETLANDS and make it my priority again. I do plan on being an integral part of the site, but in a different way than I was before. With the help of Zephy and Loreli, we plan on taking the WETLANDS in a new and better direction. I will be the WETLANDS “hostess.” I will be in the chatroom, on the message board, and very visible with all sorts of new things. I can not thank Zephy and Loreli for keeping things afloat for these past few years. They did the best that they could possibly do under the circumstances, without complaining or asking for a pat on the back for the endless jobs that they were doing. I owe these 2 individuals so very much for their loyalty and dedication.
